Meet the experienced and friendly dentists and staff who make Marc K. Spector, DDS the leading provider of oral hygiene and personalized dental services in Sugar Land.

Dr. Spector is a member of Smile Source, an association of independent dentists dedicated to exceptional dental care for our patients. He is also a member of the Mustard Seed Study Club (an L.D. Pankey study club).

The focus of our practice is to provide the very best comprehensive dental treatment for our patients. This includes cosmetic dentistry, root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, bleaching, implants, and dentistry for children.

Dr. Marc K. Spector is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and received his Dental Degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. He also received his Fellowship Degree from the Academy of General Dentistry in Boston. After completion of Dental School, Dr. Spector served in the U.S. Army for two years as a Captain.

Dr. Spector is married to his lovely wife, Bernice, for 39 years and they have a son, Nicholas, his wife, Erika, and a daughter, Naomi. Nicholas & Erika have two children, Mason & Mallory.

Music is Dr. Spector’s hobby. He plays trombone with the Sugar Land Baptist Orchestra, the Missouri City Pops Community Band, and the Rosenberg Symphonic Band. He enjoys all sports, especially the Houston Texans Football team, but his true passion is spending time with his children and his grandchildren.

Barbara has been employed in the dental field for 42 years. She has been with Dr. Spector for 23 years. Barbara works to keep everyone on a regular cleaning schedule for a healthy, happy smile.

When Barbara is not at work, she enjoys movies and reading. She has one daughter and four grandchildren. Her family is into sports, which takes up a great deal of time. Barbara is also a Lifetime Committee Member for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

“Dr. Spector is a joy to work with each day. He loves his patients and treats everyone like family. He takes pride in being a good dentist and explains everything to his patients. All the staff help to make the patient’s visit a good experience.”

Sharon is a Registered Dental Assistant, and has been with Dr. Spector for 40 years. She also has been involved with a company dedicated to ensuring the dental health of our military personnel before their deployment. She loves helping patients and has compassion for helping Dr. Spector provide the best dental care.

Sharon has two sons, one in the US Air Force and one with an Art Degree. She has also been blessed with three granddaughters whom she loves to spoil. Her passion is golfing, exercising, gardening, and going to the movies.

“One of her biggest goals is to make the patient as comfortable as possible and feel like family.”

Maria graduated from WCJC Dental Hygiene program in 2005. Prior to becoming a hygienist Maria was a dental assistant in Denmark and has spent more than 25 yrs in the dental field.

Being able to educate and improve oral health, and by doing so, resulting in an improvement in overall well being and health in the patient, is very rewarding and keeps Maria very passionate about her job.

Maria has done a lot of travelling and is originally from Denmark. She has lived in several countries, but considers herself lucky to have ended up calling Richmond, TX her home. She has been married for 11yrs and has two adorable young children. The free time is spent on horses and family.
